Born in the serene village of Cheora in Nangalkot Upazila, Cumilla, Bangladesh, Engr. Hanip’s early life was marked by a deep desire to improve his life and the lives of those around him. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), he made the bold decision to move to the United States in search of higher education and better opportunities.
However, the road to success was not easy. Despite holding an engineering degree, Hanip faced the harsh reality that his credentials did not open doors for him in the U.S. job market. He was forced to take on menial jobs to make ends meet, a disheartening experience that could have crushed many. But Hanip was different. Instead of giving up, he took his setbacks as challenges to overcome. He pursued a Master’s degree in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), achieving an almost perfect CGPA of 4.0.
Yet, even after his academic success, job opportunities remained elusive. Undeterred, Hanip further honed his skills, earning vendor certifications in Oracle, Unix, Java, and more. This dedication finally led him to a high-paying job, earning $75,000 annually. But success, it seemed, was not enough. Hanip’s vision extended beyond his own career; he wanted to help others, particularly fellow Bangladeshi immigrants, who faced the same struggles he had.
Engr. Hanip’s desire to uplift his community led to the establishment of the PeopleNTech Institute of Information Technology (PIIT) in 2005. With a mission to provide high-quality IT training to immigrants—especially those earning minimum wages—PIIT quickly became a beacon of hope for thousands of individuals seeking better opportunities in the U.S. workforce.
PIIT, which is authorized by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), the New York State Education Department (NYSED), and the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs (NYCDCA), offers both in-class and online courses. Since its inception, the institute has successfully trained over 7,000 individuals who have gone on to secure high-paying IT jobs, earning between $100,000 to $200,000 annually. These students, many of whom came from diverse backgrounds—cab drivers, restaurant waiters, gas station attendants, and even university graduates—have seen their lives transformed thanks to Hanip’s innovative approach to skill development and job placement.
Hanip’s method, which he describes as “A Dynamic Teaching Learning Methodology Enabling Fresh Graduates Starting Career at Mid-Level,” has been implemented across multiple countries, including the USA, Canada, and Bangladesh. This approach is centered on providing fresh graduates with the skills and certifications needed to secure mid-level jobs immediately after graduation—something most universities fail to achieve.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Hanip’s vision for educational reform continues to evolve. He recently acquired IGLOBAL University (IGU), an institution he intends to mold into a role-model university. Hanip’s dream is for IGLOBAL University to become a global leader in education, where every graduate, upon completion, will be able to start a mid-level career with job skills, vendor certifications, and job placement assistance already in hand.
Hanip’s work has gained recognition internationally, and a paper he authored on his teaching methodology is set to be published in an esteemed international journal. His groundbreaking approach to education and entrepreneurship reflects a deep commitment to both individual empowerment and global progress.
Outside of his professional life, Engr. Hanip is a devoted husband and father. He lives in Great Falls, VA, with his wife Farhana and their three daughters—Nafisa, Preeata, and Elaf. The Hanip family serves as a model of success, with a focus on education, hard work, and a vision to make the world a better place for future generations.
